Carmen Buck is an author and speaker leading both live events and webinars on the topics of family caregiving, eldercare and the healing power of photography and storytelling. She is a portrait, lifestyle and humanitarian photographer specializing in photography of the elderly and those with dementia. During her 40 year nursing career, she worked with thousands of people seeking meaning and connection during challenging times. Her master’s degree in nursing focused on spirituality and healing which lead to her passion of connecting through story telling and photography. Her latest book, “Just See Me- Sacred Stories from the Other Side of Dementia” will be released early 2018. She creates legacies for people of all ages in the Austin TX area and beyond.
Carmen is an influencer in elder care including family caregiving, the importance of creating legacies and holistic approaches-body, mind and spirit of aging. She delivers thought provoking, energetic, and entertaining live and online presentations for healthcare providers, photographers, family caregivers and others caring for our elderly.
Carmen has published many peer reviewed journal articles including Spiritual Care Nursing for the Home Health Client. She authors an ongoing blog every week on CarmenBuck.com. Her upcoming book Just See Me-Sacred Stories from the Other Side of Dementia is expected Winter 2018.
